What is a BJLOT Leadership Forum?The Leadership Forum is a 3-day training program that provides BJLOT Fellows with an opportunity to get engaged, hear from subject matter experts, interact with other emerging leaders, and acquire leadership skills. The goal of the leadership forum is to educate participants to become aware and conscious about how social justice issues (i.e. antisemitism and racism) that mutually effect Black and Jewish college students and motivate them to be agents of change on their college campuses and local communities. The next Leadership Forum for 2024 will be held in Atlanta, Georgia on April 5 - 7. Participating schools are Agnes Scott College, Clark Atlanta University, Emory University, Georgia State University, Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State University, Oglethorpe University, Morehouse College, Morris Brown University, and Spelman College.

What are Unity Dinners?A series of Unity Dinners that will be held on college campuses throughout the United States in 2024. The Unity Dinners will be an opportunity for Black and Jewish college students to establish friendships, build bridges, and lay the foundation of a strategic partnership to address antisemitism and racism on college campuses. The Black and Jewish Leaders of Tomorrow. in partnership with the United Negro College Fund, Hillel International, and the Antidefamation League. will organize Unity Dinners be hosted at 10 colleges and universities. The inaugural Unity Dinner will be held at Dillard University on January 30 the second will be held at Spelman College on February 1. Other hosting institutions will be Emory University, Howard University, Morgan State University, and Gratz College.

Who is eligible to participate as a BJLOT Fellow?Eligible participants are Black and/or Jewish college students, who are currently enrolled in a college or university. Ideal candidates should be in good academic standing with some leadership experience. To participate, an application must be submitted for consideration of acceptance. References may be required.

What activities are involved in the BJLOT Fellowship?Being a BJLOT Fellow involves a 4-month commitment. Fellows will participate in a group Orientation, engage in a 3-day Leadership Forum, perform community service, and engage in a variety of group projects and cross-cultural activities, BJLOT Fellows will receive a modest stipend for their participation.
